Kazakhstan’s «Petroleum» Wins CIS Prize

In Minsk, the CIS Executive Committee held an award ceremony for the best enterprises of the Commonwealth of Independent States member states for significant achievements in the field of product and service quality.

High awards were given to 14 public and private organizations, including the Petroleum Group of Companies. The company has been operating in the Kazakhstan market for over 16 years and today is a leading transport and logistics company in the railway industry, providing a full range of transport services in the oil and gas sector.

The CIS, Asia, Baltic, and Caucasus countries. The geography of Petroleum's transportation is extensive. According to the results of last year, Petroleum delivered more than 14 million tons of cargo.

"The number of tank cars used by this enterprise alone - 11 thousand throughout the CIS - speaks for itself. But it is not about quantity, the award is for quality, and the quality of these services is highly appreciated by our international expert commission and therefore I was pleased to present this award to the representatives of Kazakhstan today,"

- said the Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev at the presentation.
The CIS Prize for achievements in the field of product and service quality has been awarded once every two years on a competitive basis since 2005. The winners are determined by the decision of the Commonwealth Economic Council. Throughout the history of the Prize, 130 Commonwealth enterprises have been awarded. The main goal of the competition, emphasized Sergey Lebedev, is to increase the competitiveness of CIS enterprises. For Petroleum, this is not the first serious award; in 2016, the enterprise was awarded the Altyn Sapa Prize of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
“This CIS award that our company received is confirmed by international certificates, that is, this is an entry into the world market in some way, this is what our president has been tirelessly calling for for many years,”

- commented Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Belarus Yermukhamet Yertysbayev, congratulating the winners.
Last year, the Petroleum Group of Companies implemented a large-scale project to develop the transport infrastructure of the Atyrau Oil Refinery, providing a throughput capacity of up to 5.5 million tons of oil products per year (330 tank cars/day). Today, the Group owns and manages three of the largest washing and steaming stations in Kazakhstan, which allow for the preparation of tank cars for loading and current uncoupling repairs. According to the head Timur Karabayev, in 2018, Petroleum aims to expand the range of logistics services provided, improve service and provide a full cycle of cargo transportation.
